What is a cleanroom
Standards and operation
Sizing, energy, lay-out, choice of materials - cleanrooms are governed by specific constraints and ISO standards, depending on the field of activity. VÊPRES has a thorough understanding of these requirements. Our teams of highly specialized experts will guide you through the design and implementation of your project.

mastery and exacting standards
ISO standards and benchmarks
Air particle cleanliness classes are determined by standard NF EN 14644-1. This classification ranges from ISO class 1 (the cleanest) to ISO class 9. These levels of requirement define the design and construction of the room, the choice of equipment and materials used, and the operation of your unit. The class is defined by the maximum permissible particle concentration /m3 of air, according to the different particle sizes.
Other standards govern cleanrooms: ISO 14698 (Control of Biocontamination), NF 90-351 for Healthcare Establishments (Control of Airborne Contamination) and ISO 13485 for medical devices. The pharmaceutical industry must comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), which defines four classes of air cleanliness: A, B, C and D. Numerous standards also exist in the industrial sector.
Our design office
Whether you're creating, renovating or converting a cleanroom, our design office can adapt to your requirements and meet your demands, whatever your field of activity.
Our design office cleanroom ensures a global design and analyzes your constraints to offer high-performance equipment adapted to your production unit.
Contamination sources and vectors
Control, manage and protect are the three principles of a controlled atmosphere zone (ZAC). A cleanroom must protect against sources and vectors of contamination that could adversely affect the quality of your production.
A cleanroom system makes it possible to control sources of contamination (particulate, chemical, microbiological) and propagation vectors such as air, surfaces and people.

Specific standards
Cleanrooms are governed by specific ISO standards, depending on the field of activity. VÊPRES has mastered these requirements and offers the expertise required for the design and implementation of cleanroom projects. The NF EN 14644-1 standard defines classes of particulate air cleanliness (ISO standards), from ISO class 1 (the cleanest) to ISO class 9, defining design, equipment and materials. Other standards and guidelines also exist.
