The CEME-VÊPRES merger in the spotlight of the local and national press
Press reviewThe CEME group's acquisition of VÊPRES has been widely reported in the local and national press, highlighting VÊPRES 's strong roots and dynamism in the Grenoble area, and shedding light on the CEME group's strategy.
Anchored in the Grenoble area
The press has repeatedly highlighted VÊPRES's local roots. The magazine Présences points out that the company has "over 60 years' experience in the design and production of cleanrooms for the microelectronics sector in the Grenoble area ". The daily Les Echos (section on SMEs in the AURA region) points out that " Vêpres opens up new business prospects for its new parent company in the Grenoble area. An area where CEME had no previous presence. Not to mention local key accounts such as Soitec, STMicroelectronics, CEA and Becton Dickinson, regular customers of the controlled atmosphere specialist. "
The dynamism of VÊPRES
Almost all the titles highlighted Vêpres 's dynamism over the last few years, notably Bref ECO, which noted that " Vêpres has , over the last three years and following internal reorganization operations, achieved very good results, despite the 2020 Covid episode ". Le Dauphiné Libéré, for its part, notes " its rapid growth, 100% over the last two years in terms of both sales and headcount ". As for ESSOR Isère, it mentions that the company " has doubled its sales (22 million euros in 2022) in less than three years, by turning to numerous new markets: health, biotech, plastics, cosmetics, agrifood, high-tech industries, etc. ".
CEME strategy
Various headlines explained how this acquisition fits in with the CEME group's development strategy. Capital Finance - Les Echos points out that this is CEME's " fifth acquisition since its last LBO in 2022 ", and that it is pursuing " a strategy of organic growth, particularly in the data center, nuclear industry, logistics and energy transition markets ". CFNews reports that the group is thus consolidating " its position as a major independent player in a market polarized between large groups like Dalkia and smaller, specialized players. "
Finally, Cleanrooms relays the words of Jean de Vauxclairs, Chairman of CEME, who explains how this acquisition fits in with the Boost 2026 strategic plan: " We are rounding out our offering in a technological, high value-added field of activity that is essential to the current industrial transition, in a fast-growing market ".
