Construction and integration of a cleanroom within an existing building
LUMIBIRD / QUANTEL TECHNOLOGIES, a specialist in laser technologies, was previously based in Les Ulis. The company is expanding rapidly, and has moved to a larger site in Villejust (Essonne), in an existing building. As the building in question was not large enough to take the weight of a new cleanroom ceiling, VÊPRES had to supply a secondary steel structure to take the extra load. This also enabled the air handling units to be installed high up, saving floor space and freeing up maximum volume for LUMIBIRD's storage and operations.

A steady pace
Among the constraints faced by VÊPRES was an ambitious schedule! The order was placed in May 2022, with delivery scheduled for the end of the same year. Significant in-house resources were therefore mobilized, particularly during the summer period, and a sustained pace had to be imposed on the assembly teams. Particular attention was paid to co-activity with other trades throughout the project. As for commissioning, it took place between December 15 and 31, a holiday period that is not usually conducive to a major mobilization of teams... Finally, the company had to manage the longer lead times for the supply of raw materials that characterized the year 2022. Once again, VÊPRES has risen to the challenge!
