How was SGH Healthcaring founded?

Jérôme EMPEREUR : The group was established in January 2018 with the support of major investors, MERIEUX Equity Partner and GIMV funds. We currently operate three production sites: Stiplastic in Isère, Rovipharm in Ain, and Eskiss in Allier. This encompasses nearly 250 employees and generates a turnover of 40 million euros. We have set a target of €100 million, pursuing a growth model that combines organic expansion with external acquisitions. We anticipate reaching €60 million by the end of 2020, indicating we are on the right trajectory.

Do you specialize in medical devices?

JE : Indeed, our core business revolves around plastics processing for pharmaceutical laboratory clients. We specialize in plastic injection molding for the manufacturing of medical devices. As part of our growth strategy, the integration of Eskiss allows us to expand our expertise to include injection-blow molding and extrusion-blow molding. This opens up new markets for us, such as dietary supplements (VMS).

How did you hear about VÊPRES?

JE : As a manufacturer of medical devices, we were among their commercial targets when they began to expand their scope beyond microelectronics. I also had the opportunity to meet their executives through the Réseau Entreprendre Isère network. Our initial collaboration began when the group integrated RR Plastic, and we decided to transfer its production to the Stiplastic site.

So, a conclusive first experience?

JE : Indeed, the technical solutions proposed met our expectations, and the project was executed flawlessly in terms of quality, with meticulous adherence to deadlines. This was crucial, as they expertly phased the work to align precisely with our financial constraints. A true partnership!

Is this now a preferred partnership?

JE: Indeed. Given our development ambitions, it's strategic to be able to rely on reliable partners. Especially since VÊPRES has the ability to manage projects from A to Z. Subsequently, we entrusted them with a major redevelopment project at our Rovipharm site. They rose to the challenge, and our on-site teams are delighted with the result and the collaboration. It's a source of personal satisfaction for me, because I insisted that Vêpres be consulted on the call for tenders, without imposing the choice of service provider.
