What is Rovipharm's activity?

Yoann METRAS: Rovipharm is a division of the SGH Healthcaring group. We specialize in medical devices, particularly dosing pipettes, which vary in complexity depending on whether they are 'standard' or customized models. Our clients are primarily pharmaceutical laboratories.

Does your profession revolve around plastics processing?

YM: This is entirely our core business. Across nearly 8,000 m², we operate two workshops housing 26 injection molding presses, and a third dedicated to product assembly, inking (graduations), and packaging.

How did you come to work with VÊPRES?

YM: In late 2018, we initiated a major refurbishment project in one of our workshops. The objective was to achieve ISO 8 classification for a 750 m² area with a 10-meter ceiling height. Furthermore, the work had to be completed without interrupting our production. This presented a significant challenge, given that the company operates 24/7, with three 8-hour shifts during the week and a 2x12-hour team on weekends.

Was VÊPRES' technical response decisive?

YM: Indeed, in the call for tenders, the proposed technical solutions were paramount, alongside the timelines. The project was executed in two phases. We began with the workshop's sealing, followed by the installation of the air handling unit, which required the construction of a mezzanine.

Did the project proceed according to the planned schedule?

YM: Not only did VÊPRES meet the deadline, but sometimes they were even ahead of schedule! Coordination was absolutely perfect, and this was essential to ensure the continuity of our production. I can honestly say I was blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of their teams.

Impressed?

YM: Yes, really! Between the design office, the workshop at head office (which I had the pleasure of visiting) and the technicians in the field, the VÊPRES teams are very close-knit. There's a real sense of well-being in working together, with everyone in the same frame of mind, highly competent, available and responsive. I also really appreciated having a project manager, who is the key contact and coordinates all the work and all the people involved.

So you'd call VÊPRES again?

YM: It's already done. We needed to refit our staff airlock, and as it's a must, it had to be done exactly at Christmas/New Year, the only time of year when our production stops. Once again, the challenge was met, both in terms of quality and delivery time. Right now, we're looking into modifying our visitors' lock. I'd never heard of VÊPRES before our management suggested we include them in our calls for projects. It's been a wonderful professional encounter, but also a human one, and we've really enjoyed working with them.
