Initial recruitment conducted in collaboration with the ALYL association.
HR NewsVÊPRES maintains its commitment to a local and supportive recruitment policy, particularly for young professionals.
Construction sites, workshops, administration… VÊPRES has grown to a scale that necessitates almost continuous recruitment for all types of positions. Driven by a commitment to contribute to the local employment area, numerous initiatives have been launched to collaborate with local associations that support youth integration. It was in this spirit that the meeting with the ALYL association took place.
Facilitating the recruitment of young professionals with unconventional backgrounds
The ALYL association offers a professional immersion program and connects job seekers with employers, particularly targeting individuals who may face discrimination due to their background or atypical profile.
The pedagogy and method are based on the more than 13 years of experience of ALYL Fire Safety. The objective is to connect companies struggling to recruit with individuals facing difficulties in finding employment, often despite strong motivation.
A Benevolent Yet Demanding Approach
In groups of 10, beneficiaries participate for one week in collective workshops focused on behavioral themes (self-worth, collective intelligence, essential professional conduct, etc.). This is followed by two weeks of professional immersion, mentored by ALYL Sécurité Incendie employees trained in tutoring.
After these three weeks, an assessment is conducted, leading to the issuance of an employability certificate. Subsequently, job applicants are presented to partner companies.
Arrival of Medhi at VÊPRES
Medhi's application was submitted to VÊPRES. Holding a professional qualification as a building maintenance agent, his profile was highly appealing to the company: dynamism, curiosity, strong eagerness to learn, leadership, and team spirit. His supervisor during the professional immersion period also highlighted his diligence, professionalism, and communication skills with other team members. Medhi possessed all the necessary qualities to join VÊPRES as an installer within an experienced team, who would support him in learning a new trade.
Medhi thus followed the standard integration process at VÊPRES, beginning with the collective information meeting, followed by a very positive interview with our HR manager in early November 2020. He then started a trial period as a temporary employee. His integration proceeded very smoothly, leading to the signing of a 7-month fixed-term contract effective February 1st. This is the final step before considering making his position permanent with an open-ended contract.
