Prevention and working conditions: new vacuum system for our workshop

Corporate life

Installation of a new vacuum system in our workshops as part of a prevention contract with CARSAT Rhône-Alpes.

New vacuum system for the workshop

With the development of our business, the question of a vacuum system for our workshop has become a priority in recent years. As the investment was very substantial, VÊPRES was able to benefit from assistance from CARSAT Rhône-Alpes (Caisse d'Assurance Retraite et de la Santé au Travail) as part of a contract for the prevention and improvement of working conditions. The focus of this technical and financial support was in line with CARSAT's values: improving work at height, lifting, handling and exposure to dust hazards.

For the new extraction equipment, in conjunction with CARSAT engineers and inspectors, specifications were drawn up to meet regulatory requirements in terms of chemical risks (dust), ATEX and INRS recommendations. CARSAT's assistance is subject to validation of the final installation by its inspectors. In addition to this extraction system for the workshop and workstations, the prevention approach financially supported by CARSAT also includes assistance with the purchase of equipment related to the main health and safety risks: working at height, handling, lifting, etc., as well as "Prev'Action" training courses for managers and supervisors.

Thanks to TSI Group, who completed the work in just one week, in collaboration with ERETEC for the electrical installation. François VALLALTA and Grégory DANEL were invaluable allies in providing their expertise and always sound advice. Thanks also to Stéphane ROBERGET and Bertrand GRANGE, the CARSAT inspectors, who were very available and attentive throughout the project.
