2020 was a very difficult year for the population and for many businesses. VÊPRES was relatively unaffected, thanks in large part to our teams who ensured business continuity despite the enormous constraints imposed by health safety measures. More than ever, our customers appreciated our " VÊPRES spirit", our commitment and professionalism, but not forgetting our "good humor", so precious in these difficult times.

A good balance sheet for 2020: sales of €11 million

Over the year as a whole, sales were impacted only in March and April, with declines of 30% and 55% respectively. Our teams were very present at our local customers' sites(BD, CEA, ST, SOITEC...) to support them in the face of the difficulties created by the health crisis. Some very fine projects were delivered in France, in a variety of fields(LUMIBIRD, ROVIPHARM), as well as in export markets: BENEQ in Finland, NUTRIMUSCLE in Belgium and FCI Sud ZEISS Meditech in Mauritius.

VÊPRES has been recruiting extensively over the last few months, in all areas of the company. The management team has been strengthened with the arrival of a sales manager and an administrative manager. We have invested in our premises, fitting out offices and improving working conditions in the workshop with a new vacuum system.

To cap off what has been a positive year for the company, our ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications were confirmed at the end of November.

A full order book for the 1st half of 2021

The outlook for the new year is excellent. Our controlled growth strategy is bearing fruit, with a full order book for the first half of the year. The company is being strengthened with new talent, and we are now in a virtually permanent recruitment process(check out our adverts).

This commits us to our teams and to new arrivals. In order to preserve our values while ensuring growth, we are implementing new tools and are supported in managing jobs and skills (partner ITAQUE). Risk prevention, working conditions and training(Prev'action) are pillars of our management. We are also committed to being a company that is involved in its economic area, particularly in terms of recruitment by working with local youth missions. This year, we welcomed our first apprentice.
